MR JAKE AND MRS JESS
We're just young newlyweds with some big dreams. I hope to have my own interior design side business while being a mom and Jake wishes to be able to mold young minds by being an awesome teacher!.... Oh and we want to do it all in Hong Kong! We still have some road to cover before getting to that point but we're still enjoying the ride there!
THE MR
Jake is currently attending two schools! As if one school wasn't already enough. One school to finish his linguistics major and the other to start his master of education. Since our goal is to eventually move to Hong Kong Jake is hard at work learning all he needs to know to be a full-fledged english teacher. Jake is a soccer stud and played all through grade school and in college too. He's a patient, sweet and an all around fun-lovin' person!I'm honestly married to the best guy in the whole wide world! Sorry ladies, he's mine.
I am a fairly new Interior Design grad from LDS Business College (woot, woot!) now working at an amazing lighting company! I just love lighting! It's so symbolic. It's great to work with people to help them literally bring light into their home. It's been such a great blessing to be able to work in my field immediately upon graduating. I'm a hawaiian-born, half filipino gal who loves to work with my hands to create and make things more beautiful.
When Jake and I met we knew immediately that we were meant to be together. Jake is the youngest of eight children so when I got married I inherited 7 sisters, 1 brother, 20 nieces, 14 nephews (with one on the way), one more set of parents; and of course the love of my life and best friend Jake. Coming from a family of only 5 people total it was not so much of a shock as it was just really cool to have my family get so much bigger!
We got married at the LDS Bountiful, Utah Temple on December 30th, 2011 and let me tell you things couldn't be more meaningful. I say meaningful because now that we have each other we have combined our goals and dreams and are able to run full-steam ahead with purpose every single day!
